Mantouki Primary School central heating burner out of order in the middle of winter

CORFU. Parents have been asked to dress their children well. "We first reported the problem two years ago," the PGA complains.
With the current low temperatures, Mantouki Primary School is without heating. The school informed parents that the burner is not working due to its age and asked them to dress their children well.
The Parents & Guardians Association says that the Municipality had been informed of the need to replace the old equipment.
School letter to parents:
"Dear parents and guardians,
Unfortunately, on Friday 17 December there was a problem with the burner in the main building which cannot be immediately repaired. We would ask you to dress your children well even for the lessons in the other buildings. We would like to offer our apologies and request your understanding.

The Parents & Guardians Association issued the following statement:
"Firstly, we would like to thank Mr. Thanos for the update - so that we can do whatever we can to cope with this difficult situation for our children with the current low temperatures.
Our Association would like to point out that we sent a letter two years ago to the then Director of Municipal Technical Works Ms. Yialia as soon as we had been informed of the situation by the maintenance supervisor.
The letter requested the immediate replacement of the burner due to its age.
The Association President also sent a letter more recently (29/10/21) to the municipal councillor responsible for education Ms. Zervou.
Unfortunately, nothing has been done to date and we are now facing this serious problem.
Our Association, together with the school administration, will take whatever actions are necessary so that, even at this late juncture, there is a response from those responsible."
