CORFU. The Central Corfu Deputy Mayor for Social Welfare sends a loud message - "There is a way out - we are with you!"
On the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November and with the frequent cases of femicide in Greece, Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Deputy Mayor for Social Welfare Andreas Skoupouras and officials at the Roma Community Centre are supporting all efforts online and elsewhere to eliminate violence against women. They are sending a loud message - "There is a way out - we are with you!"
Every woman who is a victim of gender or domestic violence can call the 24-hour helpline SOS 15900 free of charge or send an e-mail to [email protected].
In Corfu they can contact Corfu Women's Advisory Centre, Eth.Paleokastritsa 7, 26610 47396.
On Thursday 25 November personnel from the Community Centre and Women's Advisory Centre will be in G.Theotoki St. in front of the Municipal Theatre to provide information about gender violence.
