Meropi Ydraiou gives speech at memorial ceremony for Serbs on Vidos

CORFU. "We are proud to be a part of your history. We are proud that our forefathers supported your people in those difficult years."
The memorial service for the Serbian soldiers who lost their lives in the 1st World War took place today on Vidos Island.
In attendance this year were the Serbian Employment Minister Darija Kisic Tepavcevic and the President of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia Željka Cvijanović
Every year, the people of Corfu and Serbia remember the soldiers who died at that at the Serbian Mausoleum on Vidos.
"We are proud to be a part of your history," Mayor Meropi Ydraiou said in her speech. "We are proud that our forefathers supported your people in those difficult years and are here today to confirm and strengthen the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between our peoples."
