CORFU. Planning of work to be done is also assisted by comments and requests from members of the public on the online Novoville platform.
Municipal crews from the Everyday Life Department and Green Services are carrying out repair and maintenance work throughout the municipality.
On days when weather conditions allowed it pedestrian crossings were repainted in town and in Mantouki. Special emphasis has been put on replacing tiles on pavements. Planning of work to be done is also assisted by comments and requests from members of the public on the online Novoville platform.
Pavement tiles have been replaced in the following places: San Rocco, Avramiou, Capodistriou St, Mitropolitou Athanasiou, Kyprou, Mantzarou St, Ioulias Andreadi, Agia Sofia, the 12th Primary School, the main square in town, Plati Kantouni, Bosketo and in Platytera.
Repair work has been carried out at the Vocational High School, the 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th Primary Schools, the Musical School and the 11th Nursery School and repair and paint work has been done at the Faliraki Church, the Art Gallery and the Municipal Theatre. Paint work has also been done in Ano Korakiana square and repair work at the basketball courts in Milia Kynopiastes and Mantouki children's playground.
Potholes have been filled in Pelekas, Potamos, Perama, Viros, Kommeno, Gastouri, Ag. Prokopio, Chrysida, Sokraki and Kanalia.
Green Services
The Green Services crews are especially busy at this time. Over the last week clean-up work has been carried out at the Emporiko Kentro shore, Alepou children's playground, from Xenofontos Stratigou along to Mantouki School and in the alleys in the area, in Analipsi and the 10th Primary School in Kanoni.
Work is also being done in Agious Deka, Chrysida, NAOK, Maraslio, Iasonos Sosipatros, Gouvia summer camp, Spilia, the Lower Square and in Gardelades.
Street lighting
Municipal crews are continuing repair and maintenance work on street lighting and have recently covered the following areas: Kanalia, Benitses, Kastelani, Sinarades, Garitsa along with the following districts: Afra, Sfagia, Liapades, Spartylas, Ano Garouna and Kinopiastes.
