Building repair work in Scholemvourgou and Agiou Nikolaou in Corfu Town

CORFU. Repair work began on Thursday 4 February to ensure safety in public areas adjoining dangerous buildings in the Old Town.
The contractor 3K Techniki AE is working on two buildings in the first phase - in Scholemvourgou St. and Agiou Nikolaou St. Protective screens are initially being put up along with signs.
Meanwhile, the Municipality collaboration with Corfu Inspectorate of Antiquities and the Ministry of Culture is completing all the legal procedures so that owners assume their own responsibilities for making their buildings safe.
Deputy Mayor for Technical Works Nikos Kalogeros said, "The Municipality is working to make dangerous buildings safe for the adjoining public areas and passersby."
