Missing fisherman, 75, found off west coast of Othoni island

CORFU. The amateur fisherman had gone missing last night, Wednesday 22 July, but was found by the Coastguard and other volunteers off Othoni island and in good health.
A 75-year-old amateur fisherman was reported missing last night, Wednesday 22 July, to Corfu and Othoni Port Authorities. The man had gone fishing in his boat 'Agathoula' in the sea off Othoni island.
The Hellenic Coastguard Coordination centre for Search and Rescue coordinated a search in the area with two patrol boats, two private boats and Port Authority patrol vehicle on land.
The 75-year-old man's fishing boat was spotted 1.5 nautical miles west of Othoni by the vessel 'Kostakis', which then helped tow it, accompanied by the Coastguard patrol boats, back to Aylakia harbour in Othoni.
