CORFU. Attempt to solve the dispute between the Municipality and the Primary School Education Department.
Following the reactions regarding the prefab units for pre-school education, the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi Ydraiou, the Primary Education Director Christos Anthis and the President of SEPE (Union of Primary School Teachers) Antonis Koursaris will meet this evening to try and settle the matter.
The Primary Education Department and SEPE reacted to the document that Mayor Meropi Ydraiou sent to the Ministry of Education requesting 14 prefab units for pre-school education. Ms Ydraiou sent the document without first consulting with and receiving the necessary data and information from SEPE and the Primary Education Director Christos Anthis upon which the request to the Ministry of Education should have been based.
