CORFU. Ongoing protests against the Ministry of Education΄s Bill from the Primary School Teachers΄ Union (SEPE) and Secondary School Teachers΄ Union (ELME) throughout the country.
Teachers protested in Annunziata Square, demanding the withdrawal of what they call the 'anti-education' Education Bill and its amendments and the Ministerial Decision for live broadcasts of lessons.
They are demanding that all the necessary health and safety measures be implemented in all schools, that primary schools be given proper support and that state funding for schools be increased.
The Corfu SEPE President Antonis Koursaris and ELME President Achilleas Kapetanios said that they will continue to protest on the streets until the Bill is withdrawn.
