EPIRUS. Low temperatures in Epirus over the last few days.
The adverse weather conditions have receded in many parts of the country but temperatures still remain low. In Ioannina a section of Lake Pamvotida has frozen over.
As can be seen from the photos from epirusgate.blogspot.com, the section of the Ioannina lake near the jetty, where boats depart for the picturesque little island in the middle of the lake, is frozen.
These are not the first waters that have frozen in the area - the photo below taken on Thursday shows where the river in Zagori froze.
