Mayor Mahimaris meets with North Corfu Recycling volunteers

CORFU. North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris and Councillor responsible for recycling Spyridoula Kokkali discussed the next steps to be taken in a 4-hour meeting with North Corfu Green Spots volunteers.
The meeting took place on Sunday 6 October with North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris, the Councillor responsible for recycling Spyridoula Kokkali and volunteers and representatives from North Corfu Green Spots.
The 4-hour meeting took place in an atmosphere of cooperation, teamwork, creativity and togetherness with the Mayor listening carefully to the volunteers' concerns.
There was discussion about the next steps to be taken with the volunteers who manage recycling in North Corfu so that in the near future - when the Municipality is properly up and running - the best possible system for managing recyclable materials and organic waste can be set up.
Giorgos Mahimaris promised that there will be more meetings with those involved in recycling very soon.
The volunteers announced that another Green Spot will be opening in Avliotes immediately plus another in Kastellanous (serving Agios Athanasios and Agros), bringing the number of Green Spots in North Corfu up to 12.
