Road surfacing work in Central Corfu

Road surfacing work will begin in the next few days on six roads in the districts of Corfu and Phaeaces according to the Municipality of Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands press office.

Following the signature of the contract by the Mayor of Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Meropi Ydraiou, road surfacing will go ahead on the following roads:

- Scholemvourgou
- Tenedou
- Megalomatas
- Ematologou Ilia Politi
- Othono & Kefalinias
- Andrea Kalvou & Kokonetsi

The press release includes the following statement from Nikos Kalogeros, Deputy Mayor for Technical Services:

"The work includes scraping or removal of old surfaces, laying of 3A aggregate where needed, levelling and surfacing, drainage, construction of pavements and filling of potholes.

In Central Corfu and the Diapontia Islands we will continue to improve the image of the area every day as well as residents' everyday life.

Our efforts are ongoing. Corfu will change with practical work."
