Chamber of Commerce donates 170 construction sacks to Recycling Centres

Corfu Chamber of Commerce has responded to the request from All Together for the Corfu Environment and in support of the huge voluntary efforts being made at the 24 Recycling Centres is holding a special event on Wednesday 4 September at 18:30 to donate 170 construction sacks for the collection of recyclable materials.

There are over 120 volunteers working at these Recycling Centres or Green Spots and their initiative is supported by over 7,000 members of the public.

The work being done not only helps reduce the volume of recyclable materials being dumped or taken to Temploni but also contributes towards raising awareness and educating the public in a new culture. The Chamber said that it too wanted to give its support to these kinds of efforts.
