CORFU. British travel journalist Katie Chamberlain-Bowman visited Corfu from 25 May to 2 June.
The visit was part of the programme 'Promotion of the natural and cultural resources of the Ionian Islands' which is funded by the European Union via the Ionian Islands 2014-20 programme.
The aim of the visit was to gather material for a multi-page feature in the British Sunday Times Travel Magazine presenting Corfu as an ideal destination for cultural tourism. The magazine, which has a monthly circulation of about 64,000 and 420,000 subscribers to the online edition, is considered one of the most important travel magazines in the UK with a ABC1 reader category (the highest).
The Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism and Island Policy Spyros Galiatsatos said: "The Ionian Islands Regional Administration would like to thank Ms Amy Anagnostopoulou, Director of the Greek National Tourism Organisation in the UK and Ireland, for her help towards this visit."
