Corfu Mountain Trail 2019 sets off!

CORFU. The 8th Corfu Mountain Trail is underway - with 400 runners from 17 countries.
The 110km Ultra set off at 6 o'clock in the morning with 53 runners including 45 from outside Greece.
The Corfu Mountain Trail Ultra run starts from Ipsos village, climbs to the highest point of the island Mt. Pantokrator (914m) and then passes through traditional villages in the north of the island. From there it goes along the west coast close to the beaches of Liapades, Myrtiotissa, Glyfada and Kontogialou along trails with stunning views of the Adriatic before climbing up to the mountain village of Agii Deka where it joins the 40km run at the 20km mark and ends in Messonghi village.
The estimated finish time for the Ultra is 20:00 tonight.

The other 3 Corfu Mountain Trail races set off from Messonghi as follows:
- RAIN TRAIL (40km): Saturday 4th at 16:00
- OLIVE TREE TRAIL (20km): Sunday 5th at 10:00
- QUICK TRAIL (10km): Sunday 5th at 10:00
