CORFU. Deputy Regional Governor for Corfu Nikoletta Pandi was outraged following the violent incidents at the Regional Office.
Ms Pandi said that she had initially met with board members from Lefkimmi Cultural Society in a civilized atmosphere but then the protestors gathered outside burst into the office of the Deputy Regional Governor for Energy and the Environment Sakis Tsoukas and verbally abused him.
Ms. Pandi was visibly shaken by the violent incidents that led to the intervention of the riot police (MAT) and the injury of one man and she condemned the behaviour.
