An 82-year-old woman was pulled out of the sea at Alykes, Lefkimmi on Thursday evening.
She was taken to Lefkimmi Health Centre, where death was confirmed.
Lefkimmi Port Authority is conducting an investigation into the death and has ordered an autopsy.
