΄Dancing Together΄ in Pelekas

Over 200 dancers from 10 dance groups will be coming together in Pelekas Square to perform dances from Corfu, Thraki, Pontos, Crete, Macedonia and the Cyclades accompanied by musical instruments that have been played for centuries not only in Greece but in many other countries. They will all perform together without traditional costumes.

Lyres, bagpipes, daouli drums, flutes, tsampouna pipes.

The following dance groups will be participating:
Agios Mathaios, Ano Korakiana, Velonades, Vitalades, Laodamas, Kastelanous Mesi, the Macedonian Union, Pelekas and Sinarades!

A wonderful event with the collaboration of 4 traditional dance teachers - Marilena Kanta, Niki Kentarhou, Fevronia Kontou and Chrysa Pouliasi.

Kinopiastes Polyphonic group 'Yitonia' will sing polyphonic Corfu songs.

A traditional Greek performance in contemporary form, where everyone will be able to join in as there will be dances from all over Greece which everyone can take part in.
