CORFU. Enimerosi’s suggestions.
Many events, concerts, parties and traditional fairs will take place on our island from 20 to 23 August. Enimerosi is suggesting the following:
- Greek singer Yiannis Haroulis will sing live on Saturday 20 August at 21:30 at the Old Fortress.
- Christina Kapetanious' art exhibition "Humane" opens on Saturday 20 August at 20:00 at Anemomylos. Exhibition duration: 20 August-10 September
- Garage21 is organising a dance seminar that will offer participants the opportunity to learn the Afro Fusion dance technique. The Afro Fusion technique combines traditional African dance with western contemporary dance forms and techniques, such as the Graham and Horton techniques. Taught by Sammy Gian. Saturday 20 August & Sunday 21 August, 10:30-12:30.
- Disco party on Saturday 20 August at 21:00 at the central square of Kato Garouna.
- Big traditional fair on Saturday 20 August at Nymphes with the Phaeaces Band.
- Vatos Cultural & Environmental Society is organising a shadow theatre by Iasonas Melissinos entitled "The enchanted tree and Karagiozis' transformations" on Saturday 20 August at 20:30 in the village square. There will be souvlaki, refreshments and juices available.
- The 'Momoeria' traditional Pontian dance for first time on Corfu streets on 20 August. The Pontian Black Sea Club will be organising a celebration with the 'Momoeria' traditional dance in Corfu Town at 19:30 and a celebration at the Old Port at 21:00.
- Traditional fair in Agia Varvara in Porta Sinies on Sunday 21 August from 21:00, with the 'Rebellions' band, lambs, souvlaki and drinks. Organised by the Sinies Cultural Society.
- Concert of the band 'Sound Machine' on Sunday 21 August at Primavera Hotel in Dassia at 20:30. Admission is free.
- Two-day traditional fair in Agrafi on 22 and 23 August with parking available. Live music with the Phaeaces Band.
- The Gastouri 'Omonia' Philharmonic Society Orchestra and the Athens 'Achilles' Society of Gastouri people are organising a traditional fair in Gastouri on August 22 and 23 with the Giorgos and Yiannis Skolarikis Band.
- Children's play "The Treasure Hunt" on Monday 22 August at 19:00 at Orfeas cinema.
