His body was found by a fishing boat that had been taking part in the search near the island of Skyros.
The body of the Greek pilot of the Mirage 2000-5 which fell into the sea off the island of Skyros on Thursday afternnoon was recovered on Friday morning. It was found by a fishing boat that had been taking part in the search.
This was confirmed by the Mayor of Skyros, Miltos Hatziyiannakis, who also said that
debris from the Air Force Mirage 2000-5 was found near the body of Giorgos Baltadoros.
The good weather conditions made it possible for several fishing boats from Skyros and other nearby islands to take part in the search.
Yesterday, the pilot's helmet, the small life-raft and survival kit from the Mirage cockpit were found in the area.
