Pakistani charged with attempted murder and rape

CORFU. Update from the police on the attack on the Briton this weekend.
On Monday afternoon, following extensive mobilization of the Corfu Police Force, a 30-year-old Pakistani citizen was arrested for attempted murder, rape and illegal possession of a weapon.
On Sunday 11th February in Kato Korakiana the accused, following a fight, stabbed a 50-year-old British citizen in the region of the stomach and then raped the 29-year-old British woman living with him at knifepoint.
The arrested man will face the Corfu Prosecutor. The two victims were taken to Corfu Hospital, where they are at present still hospitalized.
