Liapades: Cutting the New Year Cake with the Philharmonic Band

CORFU. The Liapades Philharmonic Band performed in a seasonal celebration with the traditional cutting of the New Year Cake.
The Liapades Secondary School hall was full of people at the celebratory event on 5th January. With the conductor Spyros Metallinos, the band played a wide range of music from traditional Christmas songs to film soundtrack music and well-known works by Greek composers.
As a finale, the band surprised everyone by playing popular pop songs by Gloria Gaynor, the Bee Gees and others.
