Corfu Art Gallery: An evening celebrating the art and contributions of Stefanos Michalopoulos and Theresa Nicholas
CORFU. Works by the painter’s were donated to ‘Mantzaros’ Philharmonic Society, Corfu Medical-Surgical Society, and Corfu Reading Society.
On Wednesday, March 18, Corfu Art Gallery hosted an honorary event for Stefanos Andreas Michalopoulos and Theresa Nicholas. The event was introduced by Michail Angelos Vradis, President of the Corfu Art Gallery, while coordination was handled by Elvira Metallinou, a member of the gallery’s artistic committee.
A poem by Stefanos Andreas Michalopoulos was recited, accompanied by a musical programme featuring soprano Elena Suerev and pianist Chrysa Kitsiou. Afterwards, works by the painter Stefanos Andreas Michalopoulos were donated to three cultural organisations: “Mantzaros” Philharmonic Society, the Medical-Surgical Society, and Corfu Reading Society.
On behalf of the above organisations, remarks were made by Pantelis Litsardopoulos (member of the Board of the “Mantzaros” Philharmonic Society), Dr. Maria Mandyla-Kousouni (President of the Medical-Surgical Society), and Thanasis Makris (President of Corfu Reading Society).
The event concluded with the presentation of the “Corfu Art Gallery, Michail Angelos Vradis” award to two artists for their contributions to the Corfu Art Gallery: Stefanos Andreas Michalopoulos and Theresa Nicholas.
