Corfu Town celebrates on Monday night
CORFU. Monday, 29 December, starting at 5:30 PM. The event is co-organised with the Trade Association and the Catering Association, under the auspices of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands.
(From Chamber of Commerce announcement) The Chamber of Commerce invites its member businesses, the island’s residents, and visitors to the festive event “The Town Celebrates,” which will take place on Monday, 29 December, starting at 5:30 PM, in the town centre.
The event is co-organised with the Trade Association and the Catering Association, under the auspices of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, bringing vibrancy to the town through a celebration of shopping and entertainment. The aim is to strengthen the local market and highlight the dynamism of Corfu’s business community.
Set against a festive backdrop, the town will be filled with music, light, and a joyful festive atmosphere, while shops will remain open until late, inviting the public to enjoy a pleasant stroll through the market. Philharmonic bands and choirs will present short performances at various locations throughout the town centre, while activities for children, such as a puppet theatre, will offer moments of joy for both young and old. At the same time, mulled wine, hot chocolate, and loukoumades will be offered, accompanying the walk alongside creative activities and festive surprises.
After 8:30 PM, attention will shift to the Annunziata area, where musical groups and artists will energise the evening with concerts and live performances. Taking the stage will be the Double Trouble band, Stan Antipariotis, and Nasia Syrrakou, presenting a contemporary music programme that will bring the evening to a vibrant close.
