Corfu delegation to take part in the Greek Diaspora Parade on 5th Avenue
NEW YORK. This year΄s celebrations for the Greek rebirth culminate with a parade of all the Greek diaspora organizations on 5th Avenue in New York. The parade, which takes place on Sunday 22nd April, is held at this time every year.
Corfu delegation flying to America following invitation from Greek Diaspora
CORFU. A large Corfu delegation is flying to the American megalopolis having been invited by the Greek diaspora there. Corfu Mayor, Kostas Nikolouzos, is leading the delegation, which includes the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr Hondroyiannis, as well as other members of the Chamber board.
New Greek Consul in New York
NEW YORK.The new Greek Consul in New York Lana Zochiou, whose parents are both from Corfu, took up her new duties two weeks ago and attended a celebration with expatriates which included the Asgata Association ‘Cyprus’ and a concert by the ‘Kafavis Group’ at the Stathakio Centre in Astoria.
