CORFU. Italian Navy multirole offshore patrol vessel.
The Italian warship at the cruise ship pier is on an official visit. The Giovanni delle Bande Nere (P434), a new multirole offshore patrol vessel of the Italian Navy, was launched in 2022 and entered service in 2024. With a displacement of 6,200 tons, modern weapons systems, and the capability to carry helicopters, it is the first ship of the PPA class in full combat configuration.
