Corfu Port listed as No.1 for cruises in Greece and 19th worldwide

CORFU. The ranking, as noted in an announcement by Corfu Port Authority, was based on factors such as visitor experience, available activities, and weather conditions.
Corfu has secured a prominent place on the global cruise map, after a new study by Compare the Market Australia ranked the island’s port first in Greece, in Europe’s top ten, and 19th worldwide.
The survey evaluated 101 cruise ports across the globe, using criteria such as visitor experience, available activities, and weather conditions. According to Corfu Port Authority, the findings confirm the port’s growing reputation as not just a transit hub, but a dynamic destination in its own right.
Corfu received a strong visitor rating of 4.2 out of 5, offered a high number of leisure activities (193.6 per 100,000 visitors), and benefited from favourable sailing conditions, including 11 km visibility and mild winds that support ship approaches.
“This international distinction is a reward for the ongoing effort to upgrade services and strengthen the visitor experience. The Port of Corfu is now firmly established among the top destinations worldwide,” said Dimitris Apergis, CEO of Corfu Port Authority.
