CORFU. The open-air market in Corfu Town is closed as part of the nationwide strike for Tempe.
The country will be "paralyzed" on Friday, February 28, a day of remembrance for the victims of the Tempe tragedy, as all sectors have announced their participation in the 24-hour nationwide strike declared by GSEE and ADEDY.
Shops will also remain closed so that workers can participate in the rallies taking place across the country. Associations and unions have called on their members to join the strike in honour of the victims of the Tempe tragedy.
The open-air market in Corfu Town will also be closed, and supermarkets will be closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as a minimal tribute to the 57 victims of the Tempe rail tragedy.
