Man, 40, arrested for child pornography
CORFU. The arrested man will be taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
A 40-year-old man was arrested on Monday, February 10, and a criminal case was filed against him for child pornography.
The case was initiated following a complaint stating that, from May 2022 to January of this year, the 40-year-old, in his capacity as a coach-trainer, engaged in acts of a sexual nature against a minor athlete under his supervision while she was between the ages of 15 and 17.
During the preliminary investigation, the suspect was located and arrested by police officers. Videos and photos of a sexual nature featuring the minor were found on his mobile phone.
Additionally, a laptop, a digital storage device (USB), and a non-functional mobile phone were confiscated from his home. These items will be sent to the Criminal Investigation Directorate for forensic examination.
The arrested man will be taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
