CORFU. Junior high and high school pupils have been holding a sit-in since Monday, January 20th.
Parents and guardians and pupils from Agros Junior High and High School held a protest on Tuesday morning outside Acharavi Town Hall. Pupils have been holding a sit-in since Monday, January 20th.
The demands of the pupils are as follows:
- Immediate repair of infrastructure (temporary prefab units).
- Inadequate funding.
- Protection of pupils' rights for a better educational environment.
- Unsuitable or damaged school furniture and equipment.
- Unsafe and unhealthy conditions.
- Insufficient ventilation in the prefab classrooms.
- Lack of basic hygiene supplies (toilet paper, soap, sanitiser).
- Lack of essential educational materials (A4 paper, printer ink).
- Inappropriate conditions for the only Panhellenic examination centre.
