Internet problems and flight delays

At least up to Friday afternoon, the airport's operations did not appear to have been affected by the global IT outage that also impacted transport.

In London and the rest of Europe, planes and trains lost schedule information, leaving passengers unable to get updates on their journeys, check-in, etc. This resulted in delays, and companies are requesting passengers' patience.

However, there is no cause for concern here so far, despite the fact that Corfu Airport is in a 24-hour intensive operation period.

Speaking with Fraport, their representatives in Athens fear that the issue affecting booking and check-in is spreading in waves of delays across the entire aviation network.

Such problems are already appearing in Chania and Rhodes...
