Problems at Corfu Airport car park
CORFU. Passengers are also complaining about the closed shops after ticket control.
Passengers at the airport, both Greek and foreign, are protesting about the suspension or at least the reduction of operations at Corfu Airport, probably due to the end of the tourist season, even though international flights are still being operated. Domestic flights continue as usual.
A passenger, whose details are available to Enimerosi, described the situation at the car park on Saturday morning as follows:
“Unacceptable situation at Corfu Airport this morning (November 8, 2025, 7:20 a.m.).
The official airport parking lot was out of service — the barrier wouldn’t open, the machine didn’t work, and no one appeared to help. Many drivers were trying to enter, rushing to catch their flights, with no information or guidance provided.
We called all the official airport phone numbers and repeatedly pressed the emergency help buttons, but no one answered or showed up.
We were finally forced to leave our cars far away in an unsafe area, risking missing our flight and without any guarantee of security.
It’s a disgrace for such things to happen at an international airport and in a world-renowned tourist destination.”
Others also report that the shops after the ticket control area and before boarding have suspended their operation.
A response from Fraport would be of particular interest.
