Two arrested for illegal possession of a weapon and threatening behaviour

Two individuals were arrested on Tuesday morning, May 14th in Corfu for illegal possession of a weapon and threatening behaviour.

A 43-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested by police officers in Corfu Town. Following an investigation of a complaint, it was found  that, shortly before their arrest, while they were on a bus in North Corfu, they threatened four minors with a gun. Initially, the gun was in the 29-year-old woman's bag, but was later held by the 43-year-old man. Upon arrest, an air pistol with a cartridge was found and confiscated from the 43-year-old man.

The preliminary investigation was conducted by the Paleokastritsa Police Station and the two will be brought to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
