Pupils΄ 25th March parade in Corfu Town today

The parade included pupils, scouts, philharmonic bands, security forces, and armed forces, following the established route from Agoniston Politechniou Street, Anapiron and Thymaton Polemou to the Old Palace.

The official liturgy took place at the Metropolitan Church of Holy Virgin Spiliotissa, led by the Archbishop of Corfu, Paxos, and the Diapontia Islands, Nektarios. Following this, there was a speech commemorating the day by Dr. Stella Voutsa, a professor at the Ionian University.

A memorial prayer followed, along with the customary laying of wreaths at the Town's Heroes Monument by all local authorities. Wreaths were also laid at the statue of Ioannis Capodistrias as well as at the statue of Dionysios Solomos before the parade.
