Man arrested for possession of drugs

A 43-year-old man was arrested in Corfu on Tuesday morning, January 23, for the possession of narcotics.

Police officers from the Drugs Squad located and apprehended the 43-year-old following up on information received. Upon searching his residence (located in a suburb of Corfu Town), the following items were found and confiscated:

• 40 grams of unprocessed cannabis,
• 37 grams of dried cannabis leaves,
• 2 cannabis seedlings with a height of up to 50 centimeters, and
• 1 precision electronic scale.

The arrested man was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
