CORFU. European Programme for Educational Innovation and Mobility - The aim is to improve educational practices in correctional education.

After months of tireless efforts by the school's educators, Corfu Prison School has finally joined the Erasmus+ European Programme for Educational Innovation and Mobility KA122-ADU with a proposal titled "Whispers from Panopticon."

The project aims to improve educational practices in correctional education and includes the following activities:

• 2 streams for shadowing work done in corresponding schools in Scandinavian countries.

• 2 streams for lessons and training.

• 2 invited experts to the school for the exchange of tested educational practices in the field.

The programme's design was based on the experience gained from last year's educational trip to Norway by Nektaria Ioannou, a six-year educator at the school. The proposal was eventually accepted by the IKY (State Scholarships Foundation) thanks to the persistence and unwavering efforts of Alexandra Rouva, a member of the Association and a invaluable friend of the school from its early days.

Six years after its establishment, new teaching staff is taking over the operation of Corfu Prison School. The departing educators are passing the baton to their new colleagues with the certainty that they will make the most of the experiences from the Educational Innovation and Mobility Programme trips for the benefit of the students, enriching the tree of knowledge flourishing within the Corfu Correctional Facility.
