(Evening Vocational High School) Corfu Evening Vocational High School participated in a European educational programme in Rome focused on the innovative use of technology in education.
The Evening Vocational High School (EPAL) successfully took part in an educational mobility programme in Rome, Italy, from May 12 to 17 as part of the European Erasmus+ programme.
The theme of the programme was "ICT Tools for a Creative and Collaborative Classroom", aiming to enhance teachers' digital skills and integrate innovative Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools into the educational process.
Special emphasis was placed on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, with participants exploring practical applications of AI in the classroom, such as personalised learning, automated assessment and support for pupil creativity.
Participation in the programme offered significant benefits for both teachers and pupils at the school:
-
Teachers strengthened their digital and pedagogical skills, gained new insights into modern teaching approaches, and were inspired by ways to transform the classroom into a more creative, dynamic and engaging environment.
-
Pupils, in turn, will directly benefit from the implementation of these practices, as the learning process becomes more personalised, modern and tailored to their needs and interests.
Eight teachers from various specialties at Corfu Evening Vocational High School took part in the programme.
Notably, a teacher from a school in Germany also participated, giving the programme an international dimension and providing opportunities for intercultural collaboration and the exchange of best practices within the educational community.
The Evening Vocational High School consistently participates in European programmes, making full use of every opportunity for training, innovation and cooperation at the European level. Extroversion is a strategic choice for the school, as it enhances development opportunities for teachers and enriches pupils’ learning experiences.
