Man arrested in Kavos in possession of thousands of illegal pills
CORFU. He was found in possession of 5,776 stimulants, which he sold online.
A 31-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning (12/7) on charges of drug possession and possession and distribution of harmful substances (pharmaceutical stimulants).
He was initially located and arrested in Kavos for the possession of a small quantity of raw cannabis.
Subsequently, during a search at his house in South Corfu, the following items were found and seized, among others:
- 6 grams of raw cannabis
- 5,776 stimulant pharmaceutical preparations
- 1 mobile phone
During the investigation conducted by Corfu Drugs Squad, it was found that the 31-year-old was acquiring the pharmaceutical preparations without proper authorisation and distributing them in the market, both locally and throughout the country, through websites he had created for promotion and sale.
The arrested man was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
