Greek PM coming to Corfu on Wednesday with team of government representatives

CORFU. The expected programme of Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis and government ministers in Corfu.

Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis' pre-election campaign starts from Corfu following the Easter break. The Prime Minister is expected to arrive on Wednesday morning with the prime ministerial aircraft, accompanied by a large ministerial entourage.

According to information available, Mr. Mitsotakis will be accompanied by the Minister of State Akis Skertsos, Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni, Deputy Minister of Interior Petsas and Deputy Ministers of Finance Veziropoulos, Agricultural Development Giorgos Stylios and Tourism Sofia Zacharaki. Also expected are the General Secretaries of Island Policy Manolis Koutoulakis, Interior Athanasios Balerbas and M. Stavrianoudakis, Environment Sdoukous and Sport Mavrotas.

Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis will speak at the presentation of the Ionian Islands Development Programme for 2030, with planned projects totalling 1.8 billion Euros. The event will take place at 1 p.m. at the Corfu Holiday Palace Hotel, and parallel thematic workshops will be held, headed by Mr. Stylios, Mr. Petsas, Mr. Veziropoulos, and Ms. Mendoni.

According to information available, the Minister of Culture will present the study of the fortress fortifications at 10:15 a.m. at the Archaeological Museum. Mr. Mitsotakis is expected to visit some of the projects underway in Corfu, such as the marina in Spilia and the iconic Villa Rosa building.

The Prime Minister's one-day visit will conclude with a speech he will give at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Theatre. At the same time, government officials are visiting the other Ionian Islands. Deputy Health Minister Mina Gaga is already on Cephalonia for the inauguration of the Emergency Department at Argostoli Hospital.

In addition, today the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Yiannis Plakiotakis, will be visiting Lefkada this afternoon, while the Deputy Minister of Development, Yiannis Tsakiris, will be a guest of the Chamber of Commerce in Zakynthos. The three government officials are likely to attend the Prime Minister's speech tomorrow in Corfu.

The final schedule of the government delegation is currently being finalised by the Prime Minister's office and is expected to be announced soon.
