The key questions raised by the Confederation are: Why have we reached this tragedy? Who is responsible? How can it never happen again?
The General Confederation of Workers of Greece (GSEE) decided to hold a 24-hour nationwide strike on Thursday 16 March, while it paid tribute to the dead by starting its conference with one minute’s silence in memory of the victims.
GSEE stated the following: "For all workers across the country, the in-depth investigation and the accountability, as well as taking measures to ensure that human lives are not lost again, is the society's key demand and will be the focus of our strike."
The key questions raised by the Confederation are: Why have we reached this tragedy? Who is responsible? How can it never happen again?
