Man arrested with 4kg cannabis and cannabis plants

A man was arrested by the Drugs Squad yesterday, 11 October, for drug trafficking and cultivation of cannabis plants.

Following up on information received, police searched his home in Corfu Town in the presence of a judicial official and initially found and seized 340g of unprocessed cannabis.

In a search of farmland belonging to the man they found and seized the following from a storage building:

- 1.65kg unprocessed cannabis
- 2.2kg cannabis leaves
- 5 cannabis plants up to 30cm high

They also found eight cannabis plants outdoors 1-1.5m in height.

The man was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
