CORFU. The man was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor and also given a fixed fine of €30,000.
The distressing incident occurred yesterday. Having received a complaint, North Corfu police arrested the 78-year-old man yesterday afternoon for killing his cat.
The cat was found hanging by a rope outside the man's house in North Corfu and the responsible Veterinary Service was called to make a report.
