Public presentation for South Corfu residents on how waste transfer stations operate

CORFU. Municipal councillors, local council presidents and representatives from local groups and organisations have been invited.
South Corfu Municipality is organising a special presentation on how waste transfer stations operate at 17:00 on Friday 24 September outside Lefkimmi Environmental Education Centre. The speaker will be the Solid Waste Management Organisation (FODSA) Director of Technical Services Theodoros Kardaris.
South Corfu Mayor Kostas Lessis said, "The waste transfer station is now an absolute necessity for Corfu municipalities both for the safe transportation of solid waste to landfills outside Corfu until the new waste management facility has been constructed on the island and, following that, for local waste management."
Municipal councillors, local council presidents and representatives from local groups and organisations have been invited to the presentation. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and express concerns regarding the safe operation of waste transfer stations.
All Covid safety measures will be observed.
