CORFU. Following the procedures that took place among the members of the South Corfu majority party, he received 8 votes.
Yiannis Kavvadias (Gasparis), who, until recently was deputy mayor, is the new mayor of South Corfu.
Following the procedures carried out among the members of the South Corfu majority party, he received 8 votes, compared to 4 for Sayias and 3 for Kouris, and was thus elected new mayor.
Yiannis Kavvadias had long served as acting mayor in place of Vassilis Himariotis during the first year of his term, due to the health issues faced by the elected mayor.
