3 arrested in Corfu and Paxos for noise pollution

CORFU. Three owners of catering establishments were arrested for noise pollution and playing music outside the allowed hours.
Three people were arrested in Corfu and Paxos on Tuesday night, 24/8, and early Wednesday morning, 25/8, for noise pollution and playing musical instruments outside the allowed times.
In checks that were carried out in Kavos and Paxos, the following were arrested:
- Two owners of catering establishments who, it was found by using noise measurement devices, were playing music above the allowed levels and disturbing the peace.
- One owner of a Paxos catering establishments for playing musical instruments two hours later than the allowed time.
Checks in tourist areas in the Ionian Islands are intensifying and will continue to do so until the end of summer.
All those arrested were taken to appear before the local Prosecutors.
