Lufthansa adds 7 new destinations in Greece this summer including Corfu
CORFU. From 21 May the destinations of Aktion, Chania, Corfu, Kavala, Kos, Mykonos and Zakynthos will welcome the German airline for the first time.
Corfu is included in the seven brand new Greek destinations announced by Lufthansa for summer 2021.
From 21 May the destinations of Aktion, Chania, Corfu, Kavala, Kos, Mykonos and Zakynthos will welcome the German airline for the first time.
According to a company announcement, this addition of destinations represents the biggest growth of Lufthansa in its 62-year history. All Lufthansa Group carriers are planning to fly to a total of 17 destinations in Greece and carry out 470 connections to the country during peak summer period.
Lufthansa Group Airlines General Sales Manager for Greece Kostas Tzevelekos said that it was “double good news” for the country. “Passengers from Greece gain much more connectivity and secondly, this increased schedule will also support our tourism sector”
“Hopefully during the upcoming summer we will see more tourists arriving with Lufthansa in Greece, once the pandemic conditions improve and restrictions ease,” Mr. Tzevelekos added.
