Cocaine trafficking gang caught in Paxos

CORFU. Three members of the gang were arrested on Sunday.
Following an investigation by Corfu Drugs Squad, a gang trafficking cocaine in Corfu and Paxos was caught. Three members were arrested in Paxos on Sunday 28 February.
The investigation had been going on for several months and two foreign nationals and four Greeks were identified as being members of the gang.
The role of each member was identified and since at least the beginning of October 2020 555g of cocaine was sold.
The two foreign nationals, who were leaders of the organisation, had been arrested in Athens on 28 January in possession of 348g of cocaine and €12,200. These two - leader and deputy leader - coordinated the whole operation, obtaining cocaine in Athens and sending it to Paxos to be sold.
Felony charges of participating in a criminal organisation and trafficking cocaine were brought against those arrested, who will be taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor. One remaining member of the gang is still being sought.
