CORFU. "Another 524 ΄kilos΄ of love and care from the volunteers recycling at Sinies Green Spot," said the President of All Together for Corfu.
With obvious pleasure the President of All Together for Corfu Spyros Neratzis publicly thanked the North Corfu volunteers - and the local authority for its support for recycling - for their efforts even during the pandemic and the lockdown.
He issued the following press release:
"As regards to our major problem - waste management - there may be three Municipalities but there is one island. Our attitude, planning, response, support and cooperation are common and shared.
On Friday 4 December the Sinies volunteers in North Corfu ensured that another 524kg of materials wouldn't go to Temploni. 220kg clothing and 320kg plastic caps will be going for recycling.
Another 524 'kilos' of love and care from the volunteers recycling at Sinies Green Spot.
We are especially happy that once again the North Corfu Municipality is supporting their efforts."
