Company fined and suspended for filming without permission and proper safety measures

CORFU. The director of an arts production company was arrested in Corfu yesterday as a crew was filming for TV without the proper permission.

Ionian Islands police teams are continuing their checks to ensure that the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus are being adhered to.

On Tuesday 1 December the director of an arts production company was arrested in Corfu as a crew was filming for TV without the proper permission. She was fined €3,000 and the business closed for two weeks. 9 of those taking part in the filming were also found not to be wearing masks.

On the same day fines of €300 for not wearing masks were imposed on 14 people in Corfu, 4 in Cephalonia, 1 in Zakynthos and 1 in Lefkada.

€300 fines were also issued for movement violations as follows: 18 in Corfu, 12 in Zakynthos, 8 in Cephalonia and 2 in Lefkada.

There were also 2 violations in Corfu regarding the number of people allowed in cars with fines of €150 being imposed.
