Woman arrested and fined €3,000 for outdoor trading

CORFU. 36 lockdown fines in Corfu on Monday.

Ionian Islands police teams are continuing their checks to ensure that the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus are being adhered to.

Arrest and fine

On Monday 9 November a woman was arrested for carrying out outdoor trading which has been suspended due to the lockdown.

She was fined €3,000 and the charges against her will be passed on to the Corfu Prosecutor.

Mask and lockdown fines

On the same day fines of €300 for not wearing masks were imposed on 21 people in Corfu, 4 in Zakynthos, 2 in Cephalonia and 1 in Lefkada.

In addition, €300 fines were issued for movement violations as follows: 12 in Corfu, 5 in Zakynthos 3 in Lefkada and 2 in Cephalonia.

There were also 2 violations in Corfu regarding the number of people allowed in cars, each of which was fined €150.
