Two 2-week business closedowns in Zakynthos - 44 mask fines in Corfu

CORFU. Between Fridy 16th and early on Monday 19th October two violations were found at catering establishments in Zakynthos and there were 44 fines in Corfu for not wearing masks.
Ionian Islands police teams are continuing their checks to ensure that the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus are being adhered to.
During the period from Friday 16th to Monday 19th October two catering establishment business owners were arrested in Zakynthos for violating the measure regulating the number of people allowed per sq. metre. They were fined €7,000 and €5,000 and their businesses were closed for 2 weeks.
In Lefkada the person in charge at a catering establishment was arrested for violating the measure prohibiting standing customers and was fined €3,000.
During the same period 44 people were fined €150 for not wearing masks in Corfu, 10 in Zakynthos and 5 in Lefkada.
The charges against those arrested will be passed on to the respective Prosecutors.
